LEGO’s Collectible Minifigure series has been one of the the company’s most popular themes. But oftentimes it is very difficult to find just the one figure you want or the last figure you need to complete a series. Fortunately, there will soon be a solution to this problem that afflicts collectors world over. A London based web developer  and LEGO fan named Drew, who is better known as SilentMode in the LEGO community, will soon be launching Project Swapfig, a website where collectors and LEGO fans can come together to trade LEGO minifigures. Drew launched a KickStarter project to promote Project Swapfig as well as raise funds for the operation of the website. LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series 10 Due Out This Spring

LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series 10

Set for a spring release, the 10th installment in LEGO’s Collectible Minifigures theme will feature a batch of 10 new characters. As usual, LEGO is offering up a diverse mix of minifigures, which includes (as pictured starting from the top row, from left to right):

  • Roman Soldier
  • Painter
  • Female Nerd
  • Toy Soldier
  • Clown
  • Paintball Player
  • Diva
  • Skydiver
  • Baseball Catcher
  • Captain
  • Hawk Soldier Girl
  • Old Man
  • Punk Biker
  • Native American
  • Bee Woman
  • Medusa

Series 10 will be available just a few months after the release of Series 9, which was slated to launch in January, 2013 but started showing up on store shelves in December, 2012. Series 10 is also slated to feature gold colored packaging.

LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series 9

The latest batch of collectible minifigures, now on their ninth series, has been unveiled by LEGO. The new collection of 16 figures features a variety of characters, including (as pictured starting from the top row, from left to right):

  • Battle Mech
  • Judge
  • Chicken Suit Guy
  • Heroic Knight
  • Roller Derby Girl
  • Waiter
  • Mr. Good and Evil
  • Policeman
  • Cyclops

  • Fortune Teller
  • Hollywood Starlet
  • Mermaid
  • Forest Maiden
  • Roman Emperor

The assortment features some completely new figures, while others are based upon previous Collectible Minifigure releases. While Series 9 is part of the LEGO 2013 lineup and was previously slated for a January 2013 release, it seems like it may start appearing in stores this year, just in time for the Holiday season.

New Silver And Gold LEGO Minifigure Series…But What About Bronze?

Series 9 Silver Packaging and Series 10 Gold PackagingImages of silver and gold packaging for the upcoming LEGO collectible minifigures series 9 and 10 respectively, have appeared on a German e-commerce website. Slated for a January, 2013 release, an unverified list of what could appear in Series 9 has already leaked out into the LEGO blogosphere. No word yet on what will be in the gold color scheme packaged Series 10 or if there is still hope for bronze to grace the packages of a LEGO collectible minifigures series.

Collectible Minifigures Series 8 Offers Mix of New and Old

16 Collectable Minifigures from the LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 8

What do a Thespian, a Bavarian and a Conquistador have in common? They will be joining the LEGO Collectable Minifigures lineup with the release of series 8. Along with the introduction of the new figures, a few old favorites, such as the Cheerleader and Robot will be making a reappearance as well. Expect to see the assorted cast of Series 8 characters starting in September, 2012.
