LEGOLAND Discovery Centers To Host World Record Attempt

LEGO Chrstmas Train 40034On November 15th LEGOLAND Discovery Centers located on three different continents will attempt to build the largest LEGO Christmas train ever in hopes of achieving a Guiness world record. The event is set to take place at selected LEGOLAND Discovery centers in The United States, The United Kingdom (including LEGOLAND Windsor), Japan and Germany . New LEGO Advent Calendars for 2012

Details about two new LEGO Advent calendars,a Friends themed one and a Star Wars themed, for the upcoming 2012 holiday season, have surfaced.

The new Star Wars Advent Calendar will feature a wide assortment of minifigures including: Darth Maul (Santa Version), Super Battle Droid, Snowtrooper, Rebel Trooper, Security Battle Droid, Gungan Warrior, Hoth Rebel Trooper, Imperial Officer (Hoth Version), and a R2-D2 (Snowman Version). Priced at $39.99, the Advent Calendar will have 266 pieces. The new Star Wars Advent calendar is very similar to the 2011 version, with the exception of an additional minifigure included in the 2012 version.

The new Friends calendar features two Friends minifigures, Olivia and Christina along with a dog named Coco. The set features 193 pieces at a price of $34.99. Presumably, a Castle and City themed Advent Calendar may be available in 2012 as well, much as they have been in previous years. Who knows, maybe even a The Lord of the Rings Advent Calendar could be on the horizon this holiday season.
