While previously just a rumor, noted French LEGO fan site HothBricks has received confirmation from a reliable source that a LEGO Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme will be released in 2013. With Ninjago slated to be discontinued in 2013, a new TMNT theme would certainly fill the “Ninja” gap in the LEGO lineup. A mainstay of the 80s, a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles show will start airing on Nickelodeon on September 29th and in addition, may serve to be the basis of the new theme.
